Koh Tao Star Villa is an apartment-style option in the hills above Sairee. It is worth comparing when a separate place to sit and prepare food matters more than stepping directly onto a beach. The steep approach belongs in the decision from the start.
Space beyond the bedroom
The exterior shows a multi-level building with long terraces and outside stairs. Inside, the available images show a furnished living area and a separate dining space opening towards an outdoor terrace. Those are tangible reasons to consider an apartment for more than a quick overnight stop.
They do not establish that every booking has the same kitchen equipment, number of bedrooms or outlook. A furnished apartment should be chosen by its actual layout, particularly if two people expect to use the living and sleeping spaces at different times.
A longer stay is useful context
Dakota R’s Tripadvisor account describes a three-month stay beginning in September 2021, praising the furnished apartment, hot shower and hosts. Weekly cleaning applied to that particular lease. It is not a housekeeping schedule to promise with every short booking.
Francois99’s January 2020 couple account liked the separation between living and kitchen space and the bedroom with its bathroom, while emphasising the steep hill. The two accounts explain the property’s apartment role, but remain historical evidence rather than a current inspection.
Choose the access as carefully as the room
Ask for the precise apartment layout, cooking equipment and cleaning terms attached to the reservation. Then work out the arrival and daily transport arrangements. The stairs and hillside position visible in the photographs are relevant if luggage or mobility is a concern.
Koh Tao Star Villa makes most sense when the apartment itself will be used during the stay. Its appeal is less about a conventional resort programme and more about private living space above Sairee, with the approach understood before arrival.
